Macro:Meal is a comprehensive blend of protein, carbohydrates and essential fatty acids designed for those looking to consume healthy nutrients in one convenient meal replacement shake. Specifically designed for those who lead a hectic lifestyle or are continually on the go. The formula provides a great alternative to unhealthy snacks and fast food.
The protein content is a blend of fast, moderate and slow release proteins (Whey Protein Isolate, Whey Protein Concentrate, Egg White and Milk Protein, respectively) to provide a tapered release of amino acids which will help with the maintanance of lean mass and also satisfies your hunger for an extended period of time helping with reducing body fat levels. The carbohydrates are sourced from the low GI blend of Fine Scottish Oats and Activated Barley in order to provide a slow release of energy and prevent an insulin spike.
The essential fatty acids (EFAs) in this formula are from Flax Seed powder and the Activated Barley. EFAs play a vital role in energy production, effective functioning of the nervous system, digestive efficiency, and effective immune response.
Please note that the labelling on this product is provided in English as a minimum. French, Italian, German, Spanish, Danish, Swedish and Finnish may also be present on a product by product basis.
This shake has been designed to provide a balanced (1:1) ratio of protein which contributes to the growth of muscle mass, and carbohydrates which promote muscle recovery† after exercise. We recommend adding one packet (80g) to 250-350ml of water or milk in a Myprotein shaker 30 minutes before and/or after your workout. Alternatively consume any time of day to increase your daily calorie intake. †Beneficial effect is obtained through consumption of carbohydrates, from all sources, at a total intake of 4 g per kg body weight, at doses within the first 4 hours and no later than 6 hours of exercise.
